The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) is in Western Province monitoring the ongoing voter registration exercise and appreciating some of the challenges that various districts are facing.
In Senanga District, ECZ Director of ICT, Dr. Collins Kachaka, accompanied by the District Registration Officer, Mr. Gift Mweetwa, visited Maxanaedi Registration Centre and the Civic Centre to assess the progress of the exercise.
The visit is part of the Commissionβs continued effort to ensure that the voter registration process runs smoothly, efficiently, and inclusively across all districts. Monitoring such exercises allows the Commission to identify and address operational challenges in real time, ensure that equipment and personnel are functioning effectively, and enhance service delivery to the public.
This is now Phase 5 of the voter registration process, which forms a crucial step in ensuring that every eligible citizen has the opportunity to register and participate in the upcoming electoral processes.
